MINISTER TEKİN MEETS WITH MAURITANIAN PRIME MINISTER DJAY

Speaking after the bilateral meeting, Minister Tekin thanked the Prime Minister and everyone who contributed for their hospitality.
 
Minister Tekin stated that within the framework of the Mauritania engagements, a very productive environment for consultation was established on how to develop cooperation in every field - from trade to economy, education, cultural relations, and scientific studies. He continued as follows:
 
"We have provided our friends here with a broad framework concerning the areas in which Türkiye can contribute - outlining the topics and levels at which such contributions may be made. Our Mauritanian friends have also shared with us the areas in which Mauritania can offer support and the topics through which we can further enhance our bilateral relations."
 
Minister Tekin conveyed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's greetings and regards to Mauritania and said: "We have also shared the instructions given to us by our President regarding the necessary steps to be taken to develop this cooperation mechanism. We have witnessed the same intention and desire here. Inshallah, together we will bring our relations to the level we desire."
 
In the meeting, Rukiye Genç Toy, Member of Parliament for Sivas and Chairperson of the Türkiye-Mauritania Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, also participated.
 
Minister Tekin also met with Houda Babah Sid M'Hamed, Mauritania's Minister of Education and the Reform of the Education System, at the Mauritanian Ministry of Education. During the meeting, consultations were held to evaluate the educational cooperation between the two countries and discuss new steps to be taken.
